Arias With A Twist: The Docufantasy - After a successful International Premiere at The Berlin Film Festival, and a North American Premiere at The Tribeca Film Festival, Arias With A Twist: The Docufantasy earned international critical acclaim. The Docufantasy continues its festival tour at the upcoming Frameline Festival in San Francisco, the Tel Aviv Film Festival and the Warsaw International Film Festival. Working Pictures has gone into partnership with sales agents Submarine (The Cove, Man On A Wire, Supersize Me) and Inferno.
Ask A Kid To Dream - Working Pictures is in post production on this strategic partnership with Ovation TV and The President's Committee on The Arts and The Humanities, documenting the importance of arts education. The Committee is headed by Michelle Obama.
Bardot (working title) - On the heels of the successful and artistically satisfying collaboration with performance artist Joey Arias, director Bobby Sheehan has started principle photography on the next chapter of the outrageous and often shocking stories behind the legendary careers of Joey Arias, Raven O and Sherry Vine. Director Craig A. Champion and producer T.R. Boyce are partnering with Working Pictures, providing archival documentation of the infamous performances of these three great artists at the infamous Bardot Cabaret in NYC.
Bua (working title) - Producer/Director Zachary Kranzler has commenced principle photography with hip-hop artist Bua, documenting his fascinating career in both the street art and music communities. Mr. Wiggles, Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mear 1, and a who's who of the urban art scene make appearances in this edgy urban documentary.
It's Different for Girls - Producer/Director Sara Feldmann Sheehan has begun principle photography on this documentary examining the current crisis affecting America's teenage girls. A glut of often contradictory messages bombarding today's young women have put this segment of the population in an unprecedented crisis. The internet, anonymous chat rooms, sexual imagery and unprecedented pressure to perform has led to a number of suicides and risky behaviors. Conversations with teachers, psychiatrists, media professionals and these young women themselves offer a glimpse into just how difficult and different it is to be a young woman today.
Cosmic (working title) - After years of being profiled by various art media venues and filmmakers, Working Pictures, in collaboration with Kenny Scharf, has commenced principle photography and post production on a comprehensive documentary of Scharf, one of the most influential and important contemporary artist of his generation. Directors Adam Shanker and Mandeep have come aboard providing their extraordinary footage of the artist at work.
Listen To The World - After being in production for three years and with shooting locations from every corner of the globe, Working Pictures in collaboration with Ovation TV and Target Corporation has completed a feature length documentary about the extraordinary journey and evolution of the making of a museum. From ground breaking, to worldwide collection acquisition, to the state-of-the art and first ever museum dedicated to musical instruments from all over the world, Listen To The World celebrates human expression in its most pure form- the creation of music and the instruments to express emotion.
View Finder - Working Pictures has just completed the pilot episode of the photography series View Finder. Hosted by Director Bobby Sheehan, View Finder takes an insider look at the process and lives of visionary photographers, literally getting a first hand view from behind their cameras. The pilot episode "Night Song" examines the light painting photography of Dean Chamberlain. View finder is an inspiring look at the world of fine photography which ultimately inspires the viewer to pick up their own cameras.
